Barbecue at Yale Summer Session

    Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog. Here, I will share all the moments and experiences I am having at the Yale Summer Session. I hope you enjoy it! On July 7th, we had a trip to celebrate the traditional American event, "Barbecue" , accompanied by hamburgers and hot dogs. We started the day by meeting in front of the Yale Academy at 10:45 in the morning to catch the famous "yellow bus" from American movies. The journey took about 1 hour and 30 minutes until we arrived at the Outdoor Education Center. 

    When we arrived, the first thing we did was eat because it was already lunchtime, and we were hungry as usual. And as I mentioned before, we had hamburgers and hot with a salad, on the side to pretend we're being healthy. However, while we were having lunch, this facility dog showed up to say hello to us. Her name is Heidi, and she's a two year-old golden retriever. Her job is to provide a calming and comforting presence for students and professionals working at Yale. In other words, she's there to give love, affection, and distract the students with her cuteness.

Later, after playing with Heidi, we went to practice one of the activities provided on the trip, which was kayaking. So my friend Aitana and I decided to try this activity, while Manuela and Gisele want on the other kayaking. We did it for about 30-40 minutes, because it's very tiring. It requires a lot of arm strength, so it ends up being a workout focused on the upper body. PS: On that day, I didn't go to the gym because I was too tired! As a souvenir, I even managed to get a blister on my hand from the friction on my skin with the paddle.

Yale Law School

 Hi everyone, how are you doing?  Today I'am going to talk about my visit in the Yale Law School, located in New Haven -  Connecticut. The Law Building is considered The Sterling Law Building, constructed from 1929-1931 designed by James Gamble Rogers. Adorned both internally and externally, this majestic structure is enriched with an array of stone sculptures, intricate wood carvings, and resplendent stained glass medallions, all meticulously  crafted to celebrate the very essence of law and justice. Its artistic splendor revolves around a myriad of symbols, paying homage to the core figures that inhabit the world of legal dramas.  Among the exquisitely chiseled designs, one can behold the dignified presence of judges, their robes emanating authority and wisdom. Lawyers are depicted in earnest argumentation, representing the pursuit of truth and the defense of justice. The portrayal of defendants captures the essence of human vulnerability and the gravity of their circumstances.

Shops in Target

     Hi everyone! Ready for more moments and experiences on my blog? Today, I'm going to tell you about my day, specifically, shopping at Target! It all started when my Sebastian came up with the idea of going to Target for some shopping. So we decided to take an Uber, as it would be faster and safer.       As we were in the Uber, the driver asked us if we liked music, and we replied with a "yes". Suddenly, he mentioned that he had karaoke in his car and pulled out a microphone from the glove compartment. He handed it to us and encouraged us to start singing. We chose to sing "Baby" by Justin Bieber. It was so much fun with my friends Manuela and Aitana. The 20 minutes felt like it lasted only 3 minutes because we were having such a great time.       During our shopping trip, we stumbled upon a dog sitting in a shopping cart at Target, and it was incredibly amusing to see him there.
